ECO SLATE - 100% RECYCLED
Our 100% Recycled self-bonding roof slate/shingle, available in Grey, Old World Red & Cumbrian Green, offers unmatched flexibility, allowing use even for valleys and ridges. Each slate can be customized to any size or angle, eliminating the need for special accessories. As they're crafted from 100% recycled materials, slight color variations may occur, adding to the natural, authentic look of slate.
These slates are unique in their self-bonding ability, which means they bond together after installation to form a single, sturdy membrane. This results in a wind and weather-resistant roof that's also well-insulated, even at low pitches.
Installation is a breeze. The slates are nailed directly onto plyboard or oriented strand board (OSB) over a standard breathable underlay, with no need for roof battens. Over time, the slates bond together under sunlight, forming a solid membrane, a process that's faster in summer than winter. The speed and simplicity of this process make it far more cost-effective and less prone to damage or breakages than traditional slate installation

- 15-19 degrees pitch = 17 slate per m2.
- 20 + degrees pitch = 16 slate per m2.
Each slate weighs 670 grams.
Slates are 305mm x 420mm. Overlap: slates have embossed guides for either 155mm (6") or 177mm (7") overlap.

Slates MUST be installed on an OSB or Ply board covered with a breathable roofing membrane NOT bitumen.
